CTN this weekend

Mon Nov 16, 2009, 4:35 AM
Hitting up CTN this weekend in Burbank, mere blocks from where I used to work. I've never been but I hear many good things. I can't wait to meet so many new faces in animation, and maybe reunite with some others.

deviantID

Hey!

I'm a comic book and storyboard artist living in SoCal. Starting a DA page was way simpler than building yet another website for my portfolio works.

I'm originally from the southeast, but I wanted to be in cartoons. Florida had no work, and I was sick of waiting for Atlanta to get back on its feet....and New York City's toon biz was collapsing, so I packed up what I had and moved to Los Angeles. I did manage to land work in the world of primetime animation. Otherwise, luck has not been so good, so I'm hoping to meet and greet other artists through notorious DA.

Browse around and thanks for coming. If you want to say hi then send me an email. Sorry I don't put it on display below, but I've managed to keep it from being spammed by bots from now and I don't want that to start, so you'll have to go through this.

I also do a webcomic, updated twice a week. It's a mix of the paranormal and the humorously mundane. So read "Turnpike."

I had a lot of fun looking through your gallery. Nice to see another deviant storyboard artist.

There are certain themes of which the interest is all-absorbing, but which are too entirely horrible for the purposes of legitimate fiction.
:icontheartrix:
Hey, long time no see. And welcome to DeviantART.

The Artrix Commission Service, yes, I do commissions.

Yep. We've been separated for a while. I was advised by one of my former directors to start a DA page.

In your profile it says that you wanted to set up a simple portfolio without going through the hassle of creating a new website. DeviantART recently added a new URL to display your website in a more portfolio-ish manner. I tested the feature and mine can be found here.

To make your own, it's somewhere to the right of your page's "edit" button, though I'm not sure if I was able to access it because I'm still a beta tester without actually paying for a subscription.

I watch Koroshiya Ichi are not for gore but for Takeshi Miike.

Nice work you have there. I happen to be a comic and conceptual artist myself, and I can't pass up a good comic. So I'm definitely going to watch you.

You dig whacky creatures, comics, and cartoons? Take a look at my gallery. I'm also open for commissions.

First comment and first watch. Welcome to our community of madness.

If there was never any war I'd be out of the job. Seeing as I work in a military history hobby shop.
